Engaged!

In February Matt proposed to Sally. They plan the wedding for August 4 this summer, so I have started arranging pages for her scrapbook memories. This page is done except her personal memories of the engagement.

Posted online at the Scrap Girl gallery. Most of the kit was Brandy Murry's Shabby Blanc.

Not the little girl I was...

Challenged to scrap a page about myself related to a "song" I scrapped about how Al & I met. We have been married 43 years, but have known each other since he started first grade.

The journaling reads:

“Little Allan” moved to the neighborhood in the summer
of 1954, just two blocks from Barb’s family.

Barb’s dad worked with Ernie Leasure, who lived across
the street from the Hughes’ new house. Thus, they met
soon after Allan moved to their house on Winifred Street.

After his parents passed away, Al moved to the north end
of Detroit. When he called to meet up with Barb in 1968,
she was not the little girl he once knew,
and he asked her to marry him that summer.

A Groom's view Scrap page

I enjoyed making this Groom's View scrap page for the wedding album. Though Jesse was embarrassed for his tears, we were encouraged to see his compassionate heart. This is posted online in my Scrap Girls gallery.

Ruth and Jesse were married in July and I am still enjoying putting their memories on scrap pages! These are the two most recent.

Wedding album... another page done

I have slowly been working on Ruth's wedding album. Here is another page done. I will switch out a smiling photo of Jesse later. He was so happy he cried!

And here is the same photo online with comments from other scrappers at Scrap Girls.

Wedding album preparations...

I have enjoyed viewing and editing the photos for the wedding album. I love the way Photoshop makes some very unique applications to an already lovely photo.

Wedding pics...

This cake photo gives you a view of the inlet from the patio. A very lovely garden wedding location! Although all the "plans" did not go as planned, Plan B worked just as well in the gap.

A quick photo of the non-posing bride and groom.

They actually took time to eat dinner!

And they cut the cake you heard about, without making a total mess of themselves!

Yep, got ourselves another son! Welcome, Jesse!

Ruth and Jesse's wedding!

The bridesmaids in front of the lovely home where the wedding was held.

Ruth and Jesse's wedding was beautiful on a gorgeous sunny day!

The radiant bride and teary-eyed groom tied the knot under a garden arbor Jesse built for the occasion, covered with tulle and garlands.

They are off on the honeymoon! Congratulations!

Vicki caught this group shot of my daughter Charity's family at the rehearsal dinner. More pics later.
