12 Grandkids in a Picture...

Charity asked for a new photo of her 12 kids this past week. What fun to get some of the non-smilers to smile for me! :D

Scrap Girls High Noon Challenge this week was "white space", meaning more paper than pics, usually. With 12 faces to see, I left the photo larger intentionally.

This is posted at Scrap Girls in my gallery HERE, if you wish to see the comments of other viewers.

It was fun to take a class in making paper flowers with Anna at Scrap Girls today. I actually found time to put a page together with the flowers! Thank you, Anna!

Today I learned I have been chosen Scrap Girls' MEMBER OF THE MONTH for April!

It's such an honor to be associated with such a friendly group of people in my life and art!

Here is a thread of the news announcement that I discovered as I was browsing earlier this morning.

Pearl's Girls

My beautiful Mother-in-law, Pearl, had only one son and no daughters. She never knew my daughters and grandchildren because she died when hubby was sixteen years old.

Often we would see glimpses of her in their looks, but never so much as when they dressed up for Old Fashion Day and Talent night in 2008.

The few papers were from Scrap Girls. You can see the online version with the supplies credited in my gallery there.

Montana memory scrap page

After an online class this week, I developed this page from our trip to Montana last August.

That was fun to join in the fun at Scrap Girls, in their new teaching suites!

I used this Scrap Girl kit to complete the page.

Hazardous LIFE!

When this event happened, the first thing I did was lay down before I could pass out! As I laid there I thought I should get downstairs and get ice on my face! My sister was arriving in a few days and I would likely have a black eye!

SEE!?! I TOLD you dusting was dangerous (right, girls?)

[This is a true story... the names have NOT been changed to protect the stupid.]

My Life Verse as a greeting card...

SCRAP GIRLS turned five this past week and I joined in a class to personalize alphas taught by Anna. It was a great class with some very useful techniques. Then I used the WORDART to make this 4x6 card with my life verse, 3 John 1:4 "I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth." I used "Creative Spirit" kit from Scrap Girls.

Happy Birthday, Scrap Girls!

Scrap Pages from the Convention...

We learned many new techniques and had so much fun at the Scrap Girls Convention this weekend.

Here are two projects I completed this weekend. The silhouette of Ruth and her bouquet will likely be modified somewhat... I am not happy with it.

The scrap page below was done for our friend, Sara, who was unable to attend the convention.
We sure enjoyed taking her with us everywhere!

Scrap Girls meet... Early!

I went a little early to Salt Lake City this year to take a photo expedition of the fall colors and canyons, and visit with friends I have made online at Scrap Girls.

Today we want to get hours of photography done, but last night we met up with others from the message board and went to Chili's for dinner... always a good choice!

One of our online friends, Sara, was unable to come this year, and she sold her ticket to Silly, who promised to bring Sara along as a placard presence. We laughed so hard and took photo evidence of her presence!

Seated: "SARA", Silly (Priscilla), Dianna; Standing: Lou Ann

Sandi, "SARA", and I at dinner

Ending the day, we gathered in the motel dining area to chat online with other friends still "back at the ranch". This is the view from our dining room last night... sunset on the Salt Lake... beautiful!

Scrap Girls meet in Portland OR...

Sally and I drove the three hours to west Portland today. Along the way Sally took a myriad of photos from the window and thru the sunroof. We saw some amazing spring green hills and fluffy clouds, and even some clouds that looked like a school of fish swimming by!

Our hostess was April Martell and she shared some of her sewing handiwork with us, including a lovely yellow and blue star quilt, and several formal dresses.

We took a few shots of our group: Vaughnde Edwards, Sally Gregson, Kay Ott (seated at end of table), designer Jacelen Deinema, April Martell. Gayle Starker and I took turns taking the pic.
After our fiesta, we picked April's brain about digital "how to" and learned so much!
It was a helpful and fun event... can't wait for another chance to meet and greet more Scrap Girls. Next meeting is scheduled for July 18 when Dr Sandi visits from St Louis!

Heads or Tails?

Sometimes we forget Sir Dewey and Princess Phoebe are pets, not people! This was a fun scrap page after a HUMOR CHALLENGE on Scrap Girls! [AMC Jake & Emma kit from Scrap Girls]
