April fools! A morning surprise!

Our bird feeder has attracted many kinds of wildlife and birds this winter, from jays, doves, and squirrels, to gold finches, the State bird.  We have enjoyed the bird feeder entertainment all winter long!

This morning held another surprise visitor... a male mallard duck dropped in for a visit. He stayed about a half hour before he flew off to the next grazing place.

Quack! What's up "duck?" We certainly entertain a variety of wildlife in our back yard!

Awwwww! I love the ducks! We have a wildlife pond near our Fred Meyer's and sometimes I go over there to see the birds and ducks. Not lately though and You are blessed to see all the fun stuff from your bird feeder all winter!

My friend and I were just commenting on the friendly mallards this year. She accidently locked the hen in her chicken coop last night and the male stayed all night long until she let out the female this morning. I have had a pair come to chicken breakfast for a couple of weeks now, they leave during the day but come back every morning when I throw out scratch.

We have had birds and a few squirrels and neighborhood cats visit our back yard but never a mallard duck. Thanks for sharing
